camp

2 very interesting routes are leading to the camp. One going via Morogoro, the Uluguru Mountains, crossing Africa's biggest Game Reserve, the Selous, and coming finally down to the Rufiji river and it's well located 'River camp'. This is definitively the more interesting way as the picture shows, but also the longer one.

Less than 2 kilometers is the all through the year passable entrance from the main road. Watch out! You are in the game controlled area and here is nobody to protect you!

"Karibu" -'welcome" is what the well trained workers of the camp are shouting as soon as they spot a visitor, although the most guests are coming prior to bookings. 200 meters to the left and 200 meters to the right is the property is stretching along the river.

From the upper riverbanks you get a good view on the colourful sunset. In some other places you also catch good impression of the stunning sunrises.

Having entered the camp, the bar with the attached restaurant is the lodge facility to reach. To the right follows the area for the servants with the kitchen, store and the servant quarters in the back.

In the morning sun with view on the river, the restaurant is the best place for having a delicious breakfast before the game drive starts.

Going left you come to a few self-contained chalets of which one is build on polls to increase the view and to catch more breezes.

Westwards which is in the opposite direction are 2 more round accommodations located. All constructions are well placed into the gallery forest vegetation hence as little as possible trees were cut.

Hidden in the Western river front part of the property, between trees and bush, the family house which offers space for up to 6 persons.

As the restaurant this house has a full parquet floor. In the right corner is the bathroom located and the shower cabin behind.

No one is passing in front of your house. Feel free! This is the reason for having the open shower cabin in front at the river side.

Best time for a boat tours. Just step down the staircase leading to the boat of the camp.

The river frontage length of 400 meters offers sufficient space to construct many more cottage with keeping the privacy as well as the view of every chalet.
